Improving, documenting and automatically validating the findings format that is currently documented here would bring several advantages to the project.

Some of them are:

• Users can easily work with the findings format without unexpected behaviour like fields that are null etc.
• Easier and more reliable parsing of the Findings e.g. in the persistence-defectdojo hook
• More and Better Data like finding timestamps that are currently missing.

Some proposals to enhance the format have already been made here by @damiencarol. It is advisable to communicate ideas with the DefectDojo Team that has alot of experience with finding formats.
