I recently purchased an 8k polling rate mouse.

While testing the polling rate with three different tools, I noticed that I had difficulty reaching the expected maximum of 8000 Hz. After some troubleshooting, I found that closing keymapper and keymapperd immediately resolves the issue and allows the mouse to reach the full polling rate.

I’m reporting this in case it is unintended behaviour or a known compatibility issue.
