Extension asks for authentication on protected folder #14668

Hi,
I protect the administrator folder of a Joomla website with folder protection (to prevent brute-force attacks) and the extension when enabled on the domain keeps asking for credentials on every update to the administrator panel. Is there a way to prevent this without entering the username and password?
