Hi 👋, I'm Bill MacKenty

A professional educator teaching high-school computing in Warsaw, Poland.

  • 📝 I'm a co-author of a textbook for the new IB computer science curriculum,

  • 🔭 I’m currently working on new 9th and 10th grade learning experiences, an LMS offering students incredible choice, and working full time teaching about 90 high-school students high school computing.

  • 🔭 I’m also building conceptual-based approach to teaching IB DP computer science and MYP Design with a programming focus.

  • 🌱 I am constantly upgrading my skills in Python, which I love as a language. I really don't like frameworks very much, but if I use one, I prefer codeigniter. I work in a Debian (not Ubuntu) / MariaDB / Apache ecosystem. I am learning flask / jinja / sqlite - I quite like it.

  • 📝 From time to time I write articles, short stories, and thoughts on high school computing on mackenty.org
