Aspiring Digital Polymath (Researcher / Developer / Creator)

Hi, I'm Iman, a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Iowa, working in the Biocomputing Research Lab on cognitively assistive robots (CARs) for at-home therapy. My research focuses on designing low-cost robotic systems that support voice therapy through real-time, AI-driven feedback and human-centered interaction. I’m particularly interested in how adaptive feedback, emotion-aware interaction, and precise control can improve accessibility, reduce clinical burden, and support patients with voice disorders such as dysphonia. Broadly, I work at the intersection of human-robot interaction, AI for healthcare, and assistive robotics, with the goal of building practical, patient-centered technologies that translate beyond the lab.

Every coding project I undertook was built from the ground up, starting with careful planning and design, and ultimately aiming to solve real-world problems with code.
