Dify doesn't currently have a built-in feature to export entire knowledge bases, but here are your options for migrating data from your test instance to a new deployment:

Option 1: Docker Volume Migration (Recommended for same version)

Since you're staying on v1.3.1, you can transfer the entire /docker/volumes directory:

1. Stop your source Dify instance
2. Back up the complete /docker/volumes directory (especially /docker/volumes/db/data)
3. Copy to your new machine
4. Clone the same Dify version on the target machine
5. Replace /docker/volumes with your backup
6. Run docker-compose up -d

Option 2: API-Based Document Download (Partial export)

Dify has API endpoints to download original uploaded documents:

• GET /datasets/<dataset_id>/documents/<document_id>/download for individual files
• POST /datasets/<dataset_id>/documents/download-zip for batch download (up to 100 docs)

Limitations: This only works for uploaded files (not web crawls or Notion imports), and you'll need to manually re-upload and re-index documents on the new instance.

Important: There's no official migration tool yet — this is a frequently requested feature. The Docker volume method is your best bet for a complete migration.
