I'm Adam Pugh (he/him), a senior documentation engineer and technical writing leader focused on making complex software systems easier to understand, use, and maintain.
My work spans:
- technical writing and product documentation
- documentation operations and content governance
- information architecture and knowledge systems
- documentation analytics, reporting, and content health
- docs-as-code workflows, automation, and practical tooling
My work at Meta has focused on documentation for internal Recruiting platforms supporting the hiring lifecycle from sourcing through onboarding. I partner with Product, Engineering, Recruiting Operations, and HR teams to turn product changes and complex workflows into clear, maintainable guidance.
Before Meta, I spent 17 years at Jack Henry, progressing from technical writer to technical writing management. I built and led documentation teams, supported documentation across large software portfolios, and worked with release documentation, online help, API documentation, structured authoring, analytics, and GitHub-based publishing.
- adamthepugh.com — My portfolio, including documentation case studies, writing samples, analytics work, and professional experience.
- TeraCreators Help — A multi-guide help system built with Docusaurus from scattered, community-sourced information.
- Vinyl Junction — My long-running vintage media business covering records, cassettes, books, and collectible media.
I’m especially interested in documentation systems that make complicated, scattered, or difficult-to-maintain information more usable.
