APES CIC — GitHub Organisation Repository

This is the GitHub organisation for Association of Protecting Exotic Species CIC (APES CIC), a community interest company focused on the welfare, protection, and conservation of exotic species.

This space is used by the APES technical team to develop, maintain, and improve the digital services that support our welfare mission.

APES CIC works across rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, education, public guidance, conservation awareness, and practical support for exotic animal keepers and communities. Our work is rooted in compassionate, non-judgemental support — providing welfare-first services with plain-language information so people can act quickly when an animal or owner needs help.

The main organisation website. Covers who we are, our mission, core services (Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome, Educate), and public-facing information about APES CIC.

A fast service-route triage tool. Helps members of the public identify the right APES service for their situation in under a minute — no forms, no delay.

The APES Pet Care service. Provides practical first aid support, routine welfare guidance, husbandry advice, and referral triage across a wide range of species — including domestic pets, rabbits, reptiles, invertebrates, guinea pigs, and ferrets. Supports owners in making safe, informed decisions without judgement.

MyAPES — the public resource and tool hub for APES CIC. Brings together care resources, community spaces (including APES Social and Discord), newsletters, video content, service information, and secure account portal access.

• Prototypes and experimental projects aimed at expanding our digital presence

This organisation currently operates as an internal collaboration hub for the APES technical team. We are working toward opening selected repositories for public participation — watch this space.
