Nothing's keeping it from moving forward at this point. Progress stagnated the last few months because I was busy doing organizational and PR work for PyCon. Now that the conference has passed, this and installer changes are on the top of my list. I will follow up with the current state of the port within the next few days (I should have time tomorrow evening).
