Please make sure to import the correct OpenPGP key first:

$ curl -sS https://download.spotify.com/debian/pubkey_5384CE82BA52C83A.gpg | gpg --import -

And always build in a clean chroot. It is as easy as:

pacman -S devtools
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/spotify.git
cd spotify
pkgctl build
pacman -U <path-to-spotify-package>

It is expected that the package will break now and then, as spotify continuously changes download binaries, OpenPGP keys, etc (which is not appropriate, but we cannot change this). Please be patient if an update does not occur the next day, you can still use an existing spotify install or update the version yourself.

@lightofpast Just pushed v1:1.2.20.1210-2 that now allows you to set custom launch flags in a spotify-flags.conf file under $XDG_CONFIG_HOME or ~/.config :)

Close button does nothing when setting "Close button should minimize the Spotify window" is ON. This is also a problem with the pacman spotify-launcher and not only issue for this AUR repo. Expect that this is across the board for all linux spotify users

Does anyone have issues with audio playback for 1:1.2.79.425-1? App launches with no errors, but clicking a song to play results in:

*** pw_stream_set_active called from wrong context, check thread and locking: Operation not permitted
*** impl_ext_end_proxy called from wrong context, check thread and locking: Operation not permitted

The app says "Cannot play current song...`, looks like the song is playing otherwise but no audio. Any advice?

In version 1:1.2.79.425-1 the close button doesn't do anything.

I'm using gnome with the following flags set in ~/.config/spotify-flags.conf:

--enable-features=UseOzonePlatform
--ozone-platform=x11

Hi, in version 1.2.79.425-1, I found that I couldn't minimize spotify to the tray. And the close button didn't work.

Hi, when I run spotify nothing happens and the program exits. If I run in the terminal, there is no output either. I observe a similar behavior with spotify-launcher, except this spotify exits faster. Edit: this was fixed by reinstalling arch. I suspect you only have to uninstall everything installed with PKGBUILD.
