The St. Kate’s PLG is happy to announce that the audio content of the discussion on homelessness and libraries is available as a Podcast! Please see the instructions at the bottom of this post to learn how you can download the discussion.

Listening to this talk is incredibly worthwhile for any library worker or library student, or anyone interested in issues of homelessness.

Questions and discussion points include:
-Reasons homeless people use libraries, and why they should continue to have access

To Download the Content

1) You will need iPodder software if you don’t have it. This can be obtained via http://ipodder.sourceforge.net.

2) Once you have the software downloaded, copy this link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/stkatesplg-audio into the “add” field in the “Podcast Directory” tab and then click the Add button.

3) Go to the “Subscriptions” tab and click the St. Kate’s PLG – Event MP3s in the upper box, then click to highlight the episode name in the lower box. Go to the “Tools” area of the menu bar and choose “check selected.” The file should begin to download! This may take awhile – it is a large file.

4) Once completely downloaded, it should automatically appear in the library of your computer’s media player (iTunes or whathaveyou), although you may need to update or check for downloads.
