Rogers’ Folly?; Or, I Never Metadata I Didn’t Like

When: Thursday, March 30 at 6 pm
Where: CDC, room 361

Metadata. It's a word we hear quite a bit these days. But what exactly is it? What is its purpose? Is it another in a long string of passing fads or the wave of the future?

Join us as fellow student Mark Ehlert provides a brief introduction to metadata--its definition, its function, and its place in describing and harnessing information in libraries and information centers.
