Gnome 3.0 (Gnome Shell) for Ubuntu 11.04

• Installing Gnome 3.0

Let's start by installing Gnome 3.0 to Ubuntu using PPA, NOTE THIS WILL REMOVE UNITY AND MAKE IT TO WHERE YOU CANNOT INSTALL UNITY IN UBUNTU!

Now open a terminal and type the following commands:

Terminal Commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gnome-session gnome-shell gnome-shell gnome-session

• If you want Unity Back.

We have not tested this by our-self, but it sounds like it works.
So type the following commands in the Terminal:

Terminal Commands:
sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3
sudo apt-get update
